Job Duties / Responsibilities:
o Will maintain, research, document and submit all of the necessary Governmental, Jurisdicial, and/or Industry agency certification and approvals required to sell products in both current and expanding markets.
o Will monitor the renewal dates and be responsible for submitting the necessary documentation for current and/or revised products for certification.
o Research the identified new markets, such as Europe, Far East and South America, to identify the approval certification requirements to sell products into those markets.
o Prepare the documentation package(s) for the products and all relevant certification agencies which will include all technical discussions and explanations which will document the safe, reliable functionality of our products.
o Submit all documentation and maintain correspondence with all agencies to assure certification/approval of our products.
o Other duties, as required.
Experience / Skill Requirements:
o Must be familiar with approval agencies such as UL, CSA, ATEX, CRN, IECeX , etc.
o Must have 5 years of related technical experience.
o Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
o Must be a self motivated, pro-active individual.
o Must be familiar with Microsoft Office software.
o Familiarity with SolidWorks a plus.
Education Requirements:
o Masters of Science preferred but a minimum of a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical or Electrical/Electronic Engineering from an accredited university plus a minimum of 5 years of related work experience. Electives in Material Science would be a plus.
Work Conditions:
o Primarily office based position.
o Some field visit time a possibility along with visiting approval agency and customer locations and/or offices
Some international travel a possibility - must have a valid passport.
